The event at Foley Square lasted for two hours, but some people continued to march all across the city afterward.
This was my first protest (sorry, not sorry, Mom) and the first time I took pictures of strangers like this.
Skating in New York City

I met Shelby and Leticia at my first GrlSwrlNYC (now @swirlnewyorkcity) event in Brooklyn, NY.
We all picked skating as our new hobby, and we've been practicing together ever since.
@selfieshelby , a Californian 🐻, prefers the surfskate and is getting better with her turns. I still have to learn more surfskate jargon and skills to tell you exactly how she is killing it!
@leticiars10, a native Brazilian🇧🇷, was used to doing plenty of tricks as a kid on the popsicle skateboard. Now, she's practicing to master the shuvits and the ollie.
I had a great time taking these pics (and editing them) and hope to shoot more soon!
